Life is Dings; Learn Rehab
Things people will say to you to protect you:
from birth to age 20: get up when you fall down. You’re fine.
In your
20’s: you’re invincible. Don’t worry.
30’s: you’re practically, almost, maybe invincible. Maybe not.
40’s: be sensible
50’s: be careful
60’s: slow down; you could hurt yourself
70’s: sit down; you can’t afford to hurt yourself
80’s: be grateful you’re alive; sit down and stay there
90’s: don’t do anything.; you’re way too old
100’s: and don’t move either.
That’s depressing, hopeless, defeating.
I prefer this: life is dings, learn rehab.
Things happen. We trip, we fall down, we get up. We run into things. Someone rubs our knee or arm, or kisses the boo-boo on our head when we fall off our bike. That was our rehab back then. We survived, and kept going, fearless.
That doesn’t change with age. We still fall, trip, and bang into things. Get help. Learn rehab. Learn correct rehab. Be sure to rehab every ding in life. And keep going.
That’s Aging Intelligently.
