Action Step: Overall Conditioning
Start Aging Intelligently today. The process: one step at a time. The road: move everything in your body every day. We’re doing it, one step at a time.
This movement uses almost every muscle in your body. It’s great overall conditioning, and a sign that you are having no trouble with aging.
Just before you eat (you can figure out where to do this), and from a standing position, lay down on the floor, completely flat, relaxed. If you need the wall, a chair or a friend or three to help you onto the floor, that’s fair. Just do it.
Now that you are flat on the floor, stand up. If you need the wall, a chair or those three friends to help you, fine.
Only then, eat.
This adds a habit you already do (eating) to a habit that you want to form (overall conditioning, and amazing your children).
The trick is to be able to do it, eventually, with no help from walls or chairs or friends. Or hands on the floor, for that matter. If you have trouble with this exercise, start slow, start small, and work up to whatever you can do, and keep working on it. Aging is a process and a practice.
If you can do this, you are definitely Aging Intelligently.
