ACTION STEP: Standing
Start Aging Intelligently today, one step at a time. Instead of tying this week’s ACTION STEP to eating, we’re tying it to phone conversations.
Every time you talk on the phone,
stand up. Stay standing until you are through talking on the phone. Doesn’t matter whether you make the call, or answer the call. Stand while talking on the phone. You can walk around if you life, so long as you are standing.
This improves muscular leg and hip strength strength, burns calories, and it’s weight bearing, which is good for bone density.
Only then, sit.
This adds a habit you already do (sitting) to a habit that you want to form (weight bearing strength).
