ACTION TIP: Vestibular and Balance

Start Aging Intelligently today, one step at a time.

Just before you eat:

While sitting, find one thing to stare at: a mark on the wall, a pencil, your phone, anything. Keep your eyes on the object, and slowly move your head up & down, side to side, corner to corner, and big circles. Keep moving. For 30 seconds.

This helps to marry the movement of the eyes with the head, which increases your spacial awareness. And that helps balance.

Only then, eat.

This adds a habit you already do (eating) to a habit that you want to form (spacial awareness and balance).

Aging Intelligently is a process and a practice.
