Action Step, Posture

Start aging intelligently today, one step at a time. Before every meal, practice:

sitting, lengthen your spine to be as tall as you can, and open your shoulders wide.

Lift your head away from your shoulders.

Draw your abdominal muscles inward.

Sit for 30 seconds. Count, if you have to.

Only then, eat.

This adds a habit you already do (eating) to a habit that you want to form (posture and exercise).

That’s Aging Intelligently

Boy, do I need to work on this! As I’m typing this, I’m hunched over, breathing shallowly, and doing who-knows-what-damage to my body. Thanks, Dempsey!
