ACTION TIP: Spine Lengthening

Start Aging Intelligently today, one step at a time.

Just before you eat:

Sit as tall as you can, lengthening the top of your head away from your butt. Hold this position (but not your breath) for 1 minute. Now stand as tall as you can, lengthening the top of your head away from your feet, for 1 minute.

Lengthening your spine is vertical traction, creating space between the vertebra. A spine that moves well creates a body that moves well. Good posture is the result.

Only then, eat.

This adds a habit you already do (eating) to a habit that you want to form (better posture).
